The 2014 release of their debut Album ‘Kickin’ Up Dust’ claimed the Number 2 spot on the ARIA Australian Country Albums chart. Since then, The Viper Creek Band have toured extensively, playing in many locations around the world, gaining a huge following, whom will be front row as they headline day 1 at Newcastle Country Music Festival. Their nominations for ‘Group or Duo of the Year’ in 2015, 2016, 2017 and the coveted ‘Oz Artist of the Year’ in 2016 CMC Awards, leaves little doubt The Viper Creek Band are amongst the most talented in the industry. More recently their second album release ‘Just Press Play’ debuted in the ARIA top 10, further contributing to their popularity in the Country Music scene.
Headlining day 2 will be Hurricane Fall, whose sound is a modern but earthy fusion of their Country roots, and the classic rock heritage of the Steel City where they reside. This combined with a Pop sensibility in their song writing suggests a wide range of influences, including classic country and classic rock. Their sound combined with a captivating, high energy, live performance creates an unmistakable package that is most definitely Hurricane Fall.
