The iconic Archer Hotel in the heart of North Adelaide was built in 1849. In its long life it has had many inhibitors such as a Lutheran Church, offices, a bank and a radio station. The Archer has kept its heritage intact. Back in 2002 the building underwent a refurbishment from a Lutheran Church library and offices into a premium food and beverage venue. The venue has since undergone a sleek modernisation with a new beer garden area and a full bar revamp.
The Archer is known for high quality, modern pub dining and our spacious balcony. A short walk from Adelaide Oval, it’s the perfect location to meet before the game and celebrate till late post-match. We pride ourselves on delivering quality pub dining in a relaxed environment and our menu showcases South Australian produce with modern seasonal dishes and quality pub classics.
The Archer is also home of “The Biggest Balcony Bar” in North Adelaide which is available for hire for seated or cocktail events. Our intricate Library will take your breath away. This room is stunningly fitted with large oil paintings and, of course, an extensive range of books.
